The youth soccer calendar runs from August 1st-July 30th, and includes a Fall, Winter and Spring season.

U.S. Youth Soccer will be moving to a school age grouping that runs from September 1st through August 31st in the Fall of 2026. U.S. Youth Soccer decided to go with this grouping to better align the age groups with grade levels in school, meaning that the kids will play with kids that normally go to school with.  South Middleton Soccer Association will be moving to this grouping a year early to start preparing for the formal change in the Fall of 2026.   South Middleton Soccer Association, along with our league and state associations, utilize the same method for determining eligibility for programs and team placement. Age groups apply for a full soccer year which includes both Fall, Winter and Spring seasons, and  is determined based on the child’s birth year and birth month.

U8 Program - U7 & U8

Players continue to build on game fundamentals and begin to learn positioning on a larger field. This program builds a solid foundation and transition for players "Rising" up to the Travel program the following year.
